Western Wolves emerged as an idea in mid-2011, after about half a year of planning, contacting and pitching later, Western Wolves was officially announced on January 4th 2012. Over the past two years we are extremely proud of what our teams and players have achieved under the wings of Western Wolves. Some have moved on since then and are now playing for the best teams in eSports. We have always tried to create a home for up and coming talent by supporting them in the best possible environment with all means at our disposal.
After an amazing 4 – 0 start in the tournament, our Wolves had a much harder time, first losing to Quantic and Acer, picking up the pace against Millenium and Team Liquid but losing unexpectedly against Mousesports in the end. Our team finished the second season with a 6 – 3 record placing us most likely as the second or third team within the four qualified teams as Team Liquid and Quantic Gaming still have to play two matches and one match respectively.
After qualifying for the second season of the Acer Teamstory Cup, our Wolves were pumped and ready to battle it out during 9 weeks against arguably the 9 best SC2 teams of the West. With a roster consisting of Sting, Daisy, Check and StarNaN and strenghten by our joker player San lended by yoe Flash Wolves for the ATC, our team had much to prove against powerhouses like Acer, Axiom, Team Liquid and the likes.
Today, we at Western Wolves are annoucing the departure of Stefan "MorroW" Andersson from our organisation. During his time in Western Wolves, MorroW to get results up to par with his former glory in the early days of Starcraft 2. Most notably a top16 finish at Dreamhack Valencia as well as several podium finishes at Swedish events.
MorroW has decided to join the all Swedish progaming team, Team prOperty in which he will be teaming with players such as RunA and Sjow with whom he currently lives. We want to wish Stefan "MorroW" Andersson the very best of luck in the future.
